Edges

I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can’t see from the center.

Kurt Vonnegut

A few random shots of edges that I really liked from a few different countries that I have been in over the past few months.  I hope you enjoy.

“Where are you going?” I asked.
“The middle of nowhere.”
“I thought this was it.”
“Nah.” You shook your head. “This is just the edge.”

Colors in Countries

Black and white are the colors of photography. To me they symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is forever subjected.

But add color.. how does this change the picture?

Other colors I really liked from Turkey, Korea, and Nepal. I hope you enjoy.

Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray,

and your picture will always be bleak.

Try adding some bright colors to the picture

by including humor,

and your picture begins to lighten up.

Dreamy – Istanbul

Still in Istanbul Turkey.  Actually I’m back in Nepal but dreaming of being back in Istanbul.  Great food. Kind people and some of the most dreamy sites you can imagine.  I hope you enjoy.

Inside

Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

The interior of the Basilica Cistern is nothing like what it appears from the outside.  Day two of our tour of Istanbul brought us to one of the most beautiful tourist attractions that I have had the fortune of passing through.

Aside from the Medusa’s Heads.. the entire place was amazing.  You could even dress up in traditional cultural garb and walk away with a photo of yourself.  So lovely and peaceful.  I hope you enjoy.

Back to Street Art.. Istanbul

This post will not be a surprise to many who know me.  Street art is one of my obsessions as anyone who has followed me for any length of time already knows. The following are past examples:  Taking it to the StreetsWeekly Photo Challenge: Unique Walls – a combined obsessionTaking it to the Streets – Peruvian Style Street ArtAddiction – Taking art to the street.  To mention a few.

This week while traveling through Istanbul I ran into probably the city most packed with interesting, and beautiful in some instances, examples of street art.  There also happened to be a Street Art Exhibit going on while I was there.  I hope you enjoy
