This word is based from Ancient Greek in whick ‘eco’ is derived from oîkos or “house”, and then of course ‘phobia’ from phóbos or “fear”.
I do not fear or dislike my home. I have loved every home I have ever lived in. My fear is that I may not ever find just one home I prefer over another.

Not too much leaving home going on here. Tonight we are at the other end of the Algarve to celebrate a birthday. Lagos is a lovely nautical place that speaks to me. Real home – I suspect that’s still back in the UK where our youngsters are. But life has moved on and we have to follow the tide. 🤔💕
Concur completely! I enjoyed Lagos completely when there. My “home” is in the U.S. but i also seem t be following the tide..

I love to travel, but I’m always read to come home. We’ve been in the same house for 35 years, and it hold so many memories. It’s not a perfect house, but the yard is really outstanding and that’s the part we would miss the most.
